Do you consider your diet a healthy one? Why?
Are the suggested nutritional tools useful? How?
Why is your suggested one-dish meal healthy?
Surprisingly, everything I ate turned out to be over the recommended range eg sodium, cholestrol, carbohydrate, energy and fat! I didnt expect it to turn out this way since I have never had any weight issues since young and was always pretty fit! I exercise like run and swim and skate and my CCA's bowling which burns out 350 calories (ONLY!) per 2hour session. Anyway, seems like i need to control my diet! I get too much of everything, which isn't a very good thing. I need to cut down basically on everything, especially cholestrol (from eggs), and fat (from FULL CREAMED MILK).
As clearly stated in my nutrition report, my diet is far from healthy! Yet it fuels me daily, though I do admit I need to learn to survive on a diet with less of everything (esp fat and cholestrol)! However I don't believe in formally altering my diet such that everything fits perfectly into requirements, as I do need the energy to remain active and bouncy daily! Nonetheless I will change it! I do enjoy the fact that I eat at least a serving (or more) of fruits and vegetables every meal (with the exception of breakfast). I believe that's an aspect I'll definitely keep! While keying in my diet, I realised the amount of times I repeated Eggs, be it scrambled omelette fried or hard boiled! To be completely honest it was even scary, that's one thing I'll take note of!
The health tools were very useful in breaking my diet down in components, or simply allowing me to be more aware of what I was consuming daily. Upon keying them into the website, I shocked myself as to how much I ate (even within one meal).
Though it might seem that my diet needs much working on, I won't change it drastically as I'm still a growing child with heavy food needs and I do have the energy and hyperactivity to burn them off! I'd change my meals to healthier ones of course, and heed the website's advice of trying less oil and the Healthier Choice sign everytime I purchase a food item. I'm glad the PT helped me realised what was healthy and what wasn't.
